Tomer Bar

Tomer Bar is an Israeli major general and former commander of the Israeli Air Force.

Influence and contribution

Bar rose through fighter squadrons and operational command to lead the air force during an exceptionally demanding period. His responsibilities included readiness across several fronts, integration of intelligence and precision capabilities, and the protection of Israeli airspace.

Legacy and significance

Bar belongs in Moreshet as part of the institutional history of Israeli aviation and wartime command. A balanced record also leaves room for the difficult scrutiny applied to every senior commander after national failure and prolonged conflict.
