Isaac Herzog

Isaac Herzog is an Israeli statesman, attorney and the 11th president of the State of Israel.

Influence and contribution

Herzog previously led the Labor Party and the parliamentary opposition and chaired the Jewish Agency for Israel. As president he has emphasized national dialogue, relations with world Jewry, remembrance and the symbolic work of holding a divided society together.

Legacy and significance

His family and public record connect several generations of Zionist leadership, diplomacy and state service. Herzog's presidency belongs in Moreshet as an example of leadership based less on executive command than on convening, listening and representing the whole polity.
