Russell Robinson

Russell Robinson is an American Zionist executive and longtime chief executive of Jewish National Fund-USA.

Influence and contribution

Robinson helped expand JNF-USA from traditional fundraising into a broad platform for Zionist education, youth engagement and development in the Negev and Galilee. Projects under his leadership include water, housing, medical infrastructure and the World Zionist Village in Beersheba.

Legacy and significance

His inclusion records decades of institution-building between American Jewry and Israel's geographic periphery. Robinson's work demonstrates how education and physical development can reinforce one another.
