Doron Almog

Doron Almog is an Israeli public servant, retired major general and chairman of the executive of the Jewish Agency for Israel.

Influence and contribution

Almog combined military command with a defining commitment to people with disabilities, founding the ADI Negev–Nahalat Eran rehabilitation village in memory of his son. As Jewish Agency chairman he has emphasized aliyah, mutual responsibility, recovery and ties between Israel and world Jewry.

Legacy and significance

An Israel Prize laureate, Almog belongs in Moreshet because he transformed personal loss into an institution of care. His life joins defense, inclusion and Jewish collective responsibility in unusually concrete form.
