Safra Catz is an Israeli-born American business executive and executive vice chair of Oracle, which she led as chief executive through its cloud and AI transition.

Influence and contribution

Catz joined Oracle in 1999, became chief financial officer and then chief executive, and was central to a long series of acquisitions and operational changes. She stepped down as chief executive in September 2025 and became executive vice chair. Her disciplined financial leadership helped reposition a mature database company for cloud infrastructure and the AI economy.

Legacy and significance

Catz belongs in Moreshet as one of the most consequential Jewish and Israeli-born women in global business. Her career records not only reaching the top, but sustaining an institution through technological transitions.
