Ronald Lauder: work, influence and a contemporary legacy
Ronald Lauder is an American businessman, philanthropist and longtime president of the World Jewish Congress.
Influence and contribution
Lauder has used diplomacy, philanthropy and institution-building to support Jewish communities, education and cultural renewal, especially in Central and Eastern Europe. A former United States ambassador to Austria, he has also been a prominent international advocate against antisemitism and for Israel's security.
Legacy and significance
