Lillian Copeland

Lillian Copeland set a world record in the discus throw at the 1928 Olympic trials and became the first woman to win a silver medal in the event. She later broke both Olympic and world records to win a gold medal in the discus at the 1932 Olympics. (November 25, 1904)
