Edgar Bronfman Sr.

Edgar M. Bronfman served as President of the World Jewish Congress from 1979 to 2007 and played a key role in the World Jewish Restitution Organization, advocating for the return of stolen Jewish property. He also helped establish Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1999. (June 20, 1929 - December 21, 2013)
