Mikhail Iosifovich Gurevich

Mikhail Iosifovich Gurevich co-founded the MiG design bureau with Artem Mikoyan and served as its chief designer, where he oversaw the development of numerous high-performance Soviet fighter aircraft. A notable mention is the MiG-15, the first Soviet jet to match Western fighters in combat (January 12, 1893 - November 25, 1976)
