Baruch Hagai
Baruch Hagai, known as Israel’s “Mr. Basketball,” made history at the 1968 Tel Aviv Paralympic Games by leading his team to a memorable wheelchair basketball gold medal win after already securing two table tennis titles. He further solidified his legacy by competing in four additional Paralympic Games, where he amassed a total of 10 medals—including eight golds—across multiple sports. (January 18, 1944)
